Using an air fryer is the latest craze in healthy cooking options. An air fryer is a versatile kitchen gadget that can be used to air fry, bake, roast, grill, crisp, dehydrate and reheat dishes. It's simple to use and once you master it, you'll be hooked on the air fryer. Generally, this kitchen gadget mimics the frying process without using all the oil and grease that comes along with it. Instead, the air fryer fan circulates hot air at high speeds, which creates a crispy layer on the outside of the food. Using an air fryer uses much less energy than a large oven and takes much less time to cook your food.

Air fryers are very popular because they are cheaper than traditional fryers, use less oil, and heat food quickly and evenly. In addition, these units run faster than convection ovens and are healthier than deep fryers. Have you recently purchased a new air fryer? Then let's review everything you need to know about this versatile kitchen appliance in our comprehensive beginner's guide to air fryers. Keep reading to learn all about this kitchen gadget and the best air fryer recipes for beginners.

BEFORE THE FIRST USE

Our beginner's guide to air fryers applies to most standard models. However, depending on the model, your machine may have differences or additional features. If in doubt, consult the manual. If you can't find the instruction guide that came with your unit, you can find it on the manufacturer's website.

HOW TO TURN ON YOUR AIR FRYER FOR THE FIRST TIME

Before using your air fryer for the first time, remove all items from the box. Don't worry if you smell a strong plastic odor - it will go away after a few uses. You can remove the wrapping paper, but it is best to keep the safety sticker.

Use the handle to remove the plastic packaging and take the basket out of the device. Then, use the basket release button to separate the inner basket from the outer basket. Place the air fryer on a flat, heat-resistant and sturdy surface. Also, make sure there is enough room around the kitchen appliance to pull out the basket or close the door. You may also need some space at the top to reach the control panel. Most importantly, you need ventilation space.

When using an air fryer, be aware that its outer surface may become hot. For this reason, do not place the vent against a wall, as this may impede airflow. If you want to know how much ventilation space you need, read the instructions for your air fryer. The Air Fryer must be cleaned and rinsed before use to remove any odors. Use a soft, non-abrasive sponge to thoroughly clean both baskets. You can check the air fryer's instruction manual to see if the baskets are dishwasher safe. However, we recommend manual cleaning as the parts should be easy to clean. Wipe the inside and outside of the baskets with a damp cloth. To dry the basket, use a dry towel. Then return the basket to your kitchen utensils.
